RESUME
U.K.-based Editor Tim Murrell launched his career in the film industry with a focus on narrative storytelling. He is best known for his work on several high-profile projects, including Brian Kirk’s 21 Bridges, which stars Chadwick Boseman, and Dev Patel’s Monkey Man for Universal Pictures, which earned an audience award at SXSW Film Festival.
Murrell has extensive television experience, having cut an episode of Netflix’s Black Mirror, as well as the crime thriller Your Honor starring Bryan Cranston. His work on the PBS series Any Human Heart, which features Matthew Macfadyen and Jim Broadbent, won a BAFTA TV Award for Best Drama Serial. He also edited Susanna White’s Parade’s End, earning an OFTA Television nomination for Best Editing in a Non-Series.
Murrell often collaborates with director Edward Berger, their first collaboration being The Terror, which was officially selected at Berlin Film Festival. Their partnership flourished with the success of Patrick Melrose featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, which won a BAFTA for Best Mini-Series and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Limited Series.
Prior to film, Murrell began his career cutting music videos for bands including The Wannabes, Fragma, Nightcrawlers, Paul Weller, and The Divine Comedy. Most recently, he wrapped on Brian Kirk’s upcoming thriller, The Fisherwoman, starring Judy Greer and Emma Thompson.
